Holy Rosary takes part in Catholic School Week

It’s National Catholic School Week.In Idaho Falls, Holy Rosary is taking part in the tradition by focusing on academics, service, and faith taught in the classroom.

Third-through-sixth graders will be taking a trip to Craters of the Moon to take part in science experiments — while other students will help write Valentines for shut-ins.

On Wednesday, Holy Rosary held an alumni luncheon. Blanche Newman and her brother Herman Phillipp attended. They are graduates of classes 1940 and 1943.Blanche has three generations of Holy Rosary graduates in her family.

“It’s a good school, they have good teachers. And I came back and worked for five years with the reading program,” said Newman.

Holy Rosary was established in 1921.They currently have 120 students enrolled at the school.
