Bill’s Bike Shop moves to bigger store

Bill’s Bike Shop has been serving eastern Idaho for about 66 years, and now it’s moving to a bigger location to meet more demand.

The shop will no longer be on South Holmes Avenue. It is moving to Pier View Drive in Snake River Landing.

The 10,000-square foot store will open Tuesday of next week.

Bill Fell, the general manager, said Bill’s Bike Shop will have a larger variety of bikes, accommodating every riding category.

“We’re just going to be able to offer more to the customers in the way of learning,” said Fell. “We have a classroom upstairs that will offer lessons on bicycle maintenance (as well as) spin classes in the winter time.”

Owner Gary Wight bought the business three years ago from Stan Murdock, whose family had owned Bill’s since 1947.
