Idaho Falls ballroom company places nationally
An Idaho Falls ballroom company is dancing its way to the stars tonight.
Extreme Ballroom Company took home several awards from the DanceSport National Ballroom Competition in Provo, Utah.
One of the awards was the top studio award for having the most placements in team and individual events.
The dance company was the only one from Idaho in the competition held from March 6- 9, 2013.
The Extreme Ballroom Company sent six teams, ranging from ages 9 to 18 years old. Each team placed in the competition.
“The kids enjoy it the most, because they like to get the crowd and win the crowd, and every year we win the crowd, so for us the best part is seeing how people react to all of our hard work,” said owner Staci Huston.
The ballroom company has been in business for about 10 years.
