Police make 3 meth-related arrests

Idaho Falls police have arrested three people on drug possession charges in two separate incidents.

Police said they spotted the occupants of a green Honda Accord acting suspiciously in the area of South Water and Maple Streets at around 4 a.m. Saturday. The occupants, identified as 33-year-old John Morton and 28-year-old Kimberlee Morton, were found in possession of methamphetamine.

Both were also charged with possession of paraphernalia. John Morton was also arrested on a charge of possession of marijuana.

In a separate incident, 33-year-old James McElroy was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and paraphernalia Monday night.

According to police, officers received information regarding drug use at McElroy’s apartment in the 600 block of Park Avenue. Officers recovered methamphetamine, marijuana and a pipe.
