Man police say shot in self-defense arrested on drug charges
Corey Johnson of Pocatello is in custody on drug charges after police said he shot another man who forced his way into his home around 5:30 p.m. Monday.
Pocatello officers said an unidentified man forced his way into the apartment at 4530 South Fifth Street and got into a fight with Johnson. According to police, Johnson shot the intruder in self-defense.
The victim was transported to the hospital with injuries that was not life-threatening. He was admitted to the hospital in critical but stable condition.
Detectives obtained a search warrant for the home and discovered a marijuana grow.
Johnson was arrested on charges of possession with intent to deliver and manufacturing. Police investigation is continuing.
