Bingham Co. Humane Society: animals need help

The Bingham County Humane Society is asking for help with a couple of animals.

Shelter volunteers say a 12-week-old cocker spaniel mix sustained major injuries after being thrown out of a car on the highway.

Volunteers named her “muffin” and both of her elbows are broken.

The veterinarian bill is about $1,200 and the shelter is in need of donations to cover the cost.

The shelter was also given a cat, who they named Bo Bo, that had her ears cut off.

Both animals are in foster homes, but they’ll need permanent families soon.

“It is concerning. When people have hard times, unfortunately it’s usually the kids and the animals that take the brunt of it,” said Marcia Williams, shelter volunteer.

Tax deductible donations can be sent to the Bingham County Humane Society at P.O. Box 385 Blackfoot, Idaho 83221.
