Bike officers chase down suspect
A Firth man is in custody after a bicycle chase in Pocatello Thursday morning.
Pocatello Police bicycle patrol officers attempted to stop 32-year-old Jesse Lee Converse, who was also riding a bike, for an equipment violation near North Grant and West Carson streets at around 2:30 a.m. According to police, Converse was also suspected of committing a crime.
Converse attempted to flee, but the bicycle officers pursued and apprehended him after a short chase.
Converse was arrested on outstanding warrants and for possession of methamphetamines.
