Fire that threatened Bonneville County homes out

The fire that burned southeast of Idaho Falls on South Ammon Road is now out.

The blaze had been creeping toward the Blackhawk subdivision late Monday afternoon and burned only grass and sagebrush. No evacuation orders were issued.

In addition to local firefighters, the Bureau of Land Management responded to the fire.

The Idaho Falls Fire Department said the cause of the fire was unknown.

Another fire was burning north of Idaho Falls earlier Monday. That fire is out as well.
