Car rolls onto tracks in Pocatello
A car rolled onto railroad tracks in Pocatello on Wednesday.
The car was northbound on South Second when it left the roadway and launched about 60 feet off a 6-foot embankment. It rolled three times before coming to rest on the tracks, Pocatello police said.
The driver was thrown into the rear seat of the car and had to be extricated. He was conscious and was transported to Portneuf Medical Center with undetermined injuries. His name is not being released.
The investigation into the accident is on-going.
Police did not release further details.
