Lights back on for Rocky Mountain customers

Rocky Mountain Power customers in two areas who lost power got their lights back on earlier than expected.

Folks in one Ammon neighborhood have been dealing with an outage since about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Eighty-one people in the Romrell and Owen neighborhood lost power when someone cut a tree limb and it fell on a line. Rocky Mountain Power said the power was put back on just before noon, a few hours earlier than previously estimated.

Meanwhile, in the Terreton to Dubois area, 200 people didn’t have power from 8 p.m. Tuesday until about 4 p.m. Wednesday. Rocky Mountain Power said a micro-burst damaged five power poles.

The outage originally hit more than 1,200 customers. It was fixed for the remaining customers without power seven hours ahead of schedule.
