Accident blocks lane on US 30

A crash blocked a lane of traffic on U.S. Highway 30 near Pocatello on Friday.

Idaho State Police said Linda Scott, 55, of Pocatello, was traveling west in a 2003 Mazda MPV minivan. Richard MComber, 51, of American Falls, was traveling west in a 2000 Mercury Coupe. Scott attempted to make a U-turn to head east on the highway, and MComber’s van struck Scott’s car, police said. Both drivers and Scott’s passenger, Kathleen Clark, 54, of Pocatello, were transported by ground ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello.

The eastbound left lane of travel was blocked for about 30 minutes. The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
