Mother charged in toddler’s death

The mother of a 21-month-old child who died after being left in a car in Ammon is being charged with a misdemeanor.

Rebecca Randall, mother to Elizabeth Randall, is charged with injury to a child after police said Elizabeth was left in a car in June.

When it was discovered that Elizabeth was left in the vehicle, paramedics were called and CPR was attempted.

The toddler was rushed to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, where she later died.

Bonneville County Prosecutor Bruce Pickett said the official cause of death is not yet known.

Rebecca Randall is scheduled to appear in court later this month.
