2nd suspect arrested in Maverik robbery
A second suspect has been arrested in the July robbery of a Pocatello Maverik.
David A. Jaramillo Jr., 45, was identified through the course of an investigation in which the first suspect, Edwardo Lopez Wally Jaramillo, 47, was arrested a week and a half after the robbery.
David Jaramillo had fled to Arizona, but detectives obtained a warrant, and he was arrested with the help of the U.S. Marshal’s Service and Phoenix Police Department.
David Jaramillo is incarcerated in Arizona and pending extradition to Pocatello, police said Tuesday.
In the July 14 Maverik robbery on East Alameda Road, the pair allegedly ordered the clerk to give them money. Police said they took several cartons and packs of cigarettes, several hats off of the display hat rack, and several types of lottery tickets from the lottery dispensing box behind the counter. However, they were in too much of a hurry to take the money, officers said.
