No arrest warrant for former hospital IT director

The former information technology director of Bingham Memorial Hospital, Jack York, has hired a defense attorney in the hospital wiretapping case, so there is no longer a warrant out for his arrest, the Idaho Attorney General’s Office said Wednesday.

York was indicted by a grand jury June 19. He’s accused of setting up a wiretap that ran for more than a year in Dr. Robert Rosin’s office.

The wiretap was set up from June 2009 to August 2010, according to the indictment.

He was supposed to be in court last week with hospital CEO Louis Kraml, but he didn’t show up for his arraignment, so a warrant was put out for his arrest.

Kraml faced the same wiretapping charges from the grand jury, but that was plea bargained down to a misdemeanor stalking. He pleaded guilty.

York’s attorney, Anne Taylor of Blackfoot, said York is scheduled to appear in court for his arraignment Sept. 20.
