Kylie Bearse

Kylie Bearse is the morning/noon anchor for Local News 8, but she’s often in the weather center or finding stories around eastern Idaho/western Wyoming. Kylie joined the Local News 8 team in June 2011 from Colorado, where she studied at the University of Colorado at Boulder and received a B.S. in broadcast news and a certificate in international media.

During her time at CU, Kylie anchored, reported and weather anchored for the only news show in Boulder, Newsteam Boulder, and was the executive producer of the student-run sports show, CU Sports Mag.

She spent much of her time interning in many different areas of journalism. She was news intern with NBC 9News (KUSA) in Denver, co-host of an episode of MyCampus with Fox College Sports, worked in television production with Warren Miller Entertainment, as a production assistant for The Biggest Loser and worked with the International Journalism Festival in Perugia, Italy.

A love and passion for traveling and experiencing other cultures propelled her to spend her last semester abroad in Perugia studying Italian, the Italian media system and eating as much delicious Italian food as possible. She also loves theater, volunteering, hiking, snowboarding and off-roading in the mountains.
