Pocatello man involved in fatal crash
Idaho State Police are investigating a fatal car crash Friday evening on Interstate 84 in Gooding County.
The agency said 36-year-old Wirake Charles of Pocatello was driving west on I-84 and attempted to pass a semi on the interstate. ISP said as he attempted to pass the semi on the median side shoulder he lost control and struck the semi. Charles’ vehicle continued off the right shoulder and rolled. His vehicle came to a stop near the fence at the Bliss Rest Area. Charles was ejected from his vehicle and died at the scene. ISP said Charles was not wearing a seat belt at the time.
