Man accused of filming child in men’s restroom
A Costco employee was arrested after he recorded video of a child in a men’s restroom in the store, police said Wednesday.
Pocatello police said James Blatter, 35, of Chubbuck, was arrested on a charge of video voyeurism after a they got a tip of the recording Sept. 30.
Lt. Paul Manning said a father saw Blatter taking the video using a handheld camera that looked like a pen. The father called police.
Police obtained a search warrant to search Blatter’s home Oct. 1.It was after that he was arrested.
The Chubbuck police, the Bannock County prosecutor and the FBI are helping Pocatello police detectives, who are still investigating. They are not saying whether there are other victims.
Police said Costco management is fully cooperating with the investigation.
