Another traffic stop yields pot near American Falls

A traffic stop led to another drug bust on Interstate 86 near American Falls on Wednesday morning.

Idaho State Police said they pulled over a 2008 Cadillac SUV for a traffic violation around 8:40 a.m., then discovered 2.2 pounds of marijuana. The driver, Carl E. Keen, 56, of Entiat, Wash., was arrested on charges of trafficking a controlled substance, felony possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Keen was booked into the Power County Jail.

ISP was helped by the Bear River Task Force during the traffic stop.

On Tuesday, ISP arrested a North Dakota man on drug trafficking charges near the same location on the interstate.
