Blaine County Republican Committee: Legalize marijuana

Members of the Idaho Republican Party are pushing for some controversial resolutions in their next committee meeting, including the legalization of marijuana.

The Blaine County Republican Central Committee submitted the resolution. They’re calling for the state to regulate and tax the drug. They also want the state to have strict penalties for illegal trafficking.

The party will meet Friday evening in Boise to vote on the resolution. If passed, it will go to a committee. If the committee passes it, it will be submitted to lawmakers sometime this year.
