Flights from Idaho Falls to Boise delayed

The Idaho Falls Regional Airport postponed a new flight path from Idaho Falls to Boise.

Since 2010 the airport has been trying to get an airline to add flights from Idaho Falls to Boise. About six months ago, the airport began working with an air charter company to start these flights. They were supposed to start earlier this week.

The flights have been delayed because the charter company had a personal issue and so few tickets were sold.

Airport managers say people have shown interest in these flights, but they need to actually book them to keep the flight option.

“If the community truly wants a Boise route from Idaho Falls it’s time for them to step up to the plate and book some tickets,” said Craig Davis, airport director at the Idaho Falls Regional Airport.

If the airline can’t make a profit, the flight will be forced to shut down.
