Update 10/05/14: Officials have identified the man who led police on a high speed chase through Pocatello and ended-up crashing into a mobile home unit as 46 year old Bryan Seward of Pocatello.

Just before 9:30 on Saturday night witnesses who live in the mobile home facility on Wilson Ave. said they heard gunshots pop off before they saw Seward’s car come screaming in through the mobile home park and crash into mobile home unit number 19.

The daughter of the woman who lives in the unit said on Sunday morning that she is out of town and will be notified about the damage done to her home.

Police said the chase started that night on Center St. before the chase ensued down Yellowstone Ave. and then onto Alameda before ending on the 400 block of Wilson.

Bannock County coroner Kim Quick confirmed the suspect died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head before accidentally accelerating into the mobile home unit.

He added that police did not fire any shots at the Seward, despite the suspect firing shots at police during the commotion.

Some neighbors said Seward originally lived in the mobile home unit shown at the beginning of the video, with the dog barking out front. Some said he was not supposed to be living at that home because he was a registered sex offender.

Police said Idaho State Police is also investigating the incident and more information will be released on Monday.
