Christmas Tree permits available

Cutting your own Christmas tree in the forest is a fun activity for many families, but don’t forget a permit.

Those permits are available now at the Forest Service or Bureau of Land Management offices.

The price of the tags depend on where you are going and how tall the trees are.

The Salmon-Challis National Forest has permits for $5-dollars.
BLM tags are $10.

Permits for trees in the Caribou – Targhee or Bridger-Teton National Forests depend on the size of the tree. Trees up to 12-feet cost $10. Trees above 12 feet will be 15 or 25-dollars depending on its height.
