Committee recommends keeping Blackfoot pool open

The Blackfoot Swimming Pool Committee voted on whether the city should keep the almost 40-year-old community pool.

City leaders say they are losing about $200,000 every year by keeping the pool open.

The committee’s vote was four to two in favor of keeping it.

On Dec. 2, committee members will recommend the City Council propose a $2 million bond, which would go toward fixing the insulation, heating and other necessary repairs.
