Puerto Vallarta to host traditional Thanksgiving for community
One local business has made it a tradition of its own to give thanks back to the community.
Going on all day, the Puerto Vallarta restaurant in Pocatello will be serving free Thanksgiving meals to the community who are in need of a good meal this holiday.
Mayor Brian Blad and his family help serve the food every year, and they were just a few of the volunteers throughout the community who came out to help.
Restaurant co-owner Anel Fisher said they have done this since 2008 to give thanks back to the community who has supported them.
“It was my husband’s idea to do something to give back to the community that has supported our business all these years and we are just grateful,” Fisher said.
She added, there is enough food to serve 150 people, and plan on doing this again next year.
The meal includes the traditional: turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, corn, and pumpkin pie.
