Man dies in Bonneville County crash
A man died in a Bonneville County crash around midnight Sunday.
When emergency crews arrived at the wreck in the 7000 block of North Fifth West, they found a 2005 Acura that had driven off the roadway in the “S” curves, went through a canal, and hit a large tree, the sheriff’s office said Monday.
The driver was identified as Matthew Levi Marthis, 23. Marthis was pronounced dead at the crash.
Police said he was wearing his seat belt.
Deputies believe speed to have been a factor in the accident.
