Stolen gun recovered in traffic stop

A man was arrested on multiple charges after being pulled over for reckless driving, Idaho Falls police said.

Braxton Haugland, 23, of Pocatello, was pulled over at A Street and Yellowstone Avenue around 2:45 p.m. Wednesday. During the stop, officers found Haugland had a firearm that was reported stolen from Twin Falls. He also had an open container of beer, marijuana and paraphernalia, police said.

He was arrested and booked into the Bonneville County Jail on charges of grand theft, reckless driving, driving with an open container of alcohol, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
