Rocky Mountain Power moves toward efficient energy
As renewable energy takes a front seat for environmental practices, changes are bound to happen in the energy industry.
This is why Rocky Mountain Power has developed a long-term plan to reduce the use of coal for energy and further incorporate energy efficient sources.
“This plan is going to make it so that we are complying more with state and federal regulations when it comes to conserving energy and in turn practice more sustainability” said Tim Solomon, customer and community manager of Rocky Mountain Power
Currently, coal makes up for 62 percent of Rocky Mountain Power’s resources, they’re hoping that by 2024 this number is reduced to 46 percent.
