Chubbuck man opens haunted house to raise money for boxing gym

Owner of Rodriguez’s Boxing, Jimbo Rodriguez decided to raise money to keep his boxing gym going located at 4950 Yellowstone Ave. He says it keeps him on his feet and keeps his kids out of trouble.

Originally from Corpus Christie, TX, Rodriguez chose to move to a small town for his family to live a better life.

“The gym keeps the kids out of trouble and gives them something to do after school. It keeps them disciplined.”

He opened the haunted house in back of the gym with dark, scary music and creatures coming out from every doorway. It also features a maze and fun, dark passage ways filled with the unpredictable.

Contributions will keep the gym going, but also maintains the equipment. His two kids… already have a passion for boxing at a young age and hope to make it a career.

Admission for the haunted house is $10 per person, open on Fridays and Saturdays from 7p.m. to 11p.m.
