Man does not let blindness define him
October marks Blindness Awareness Month.
There are currently 180 million people worldwide who suffer from blindness or some sort of visual impairment.
One man shared his story about being blind while having a career in massage therapy.
Jason Bernert lost full sight at age 19 due to diabetes. He now uses his sense of touch to help others.
Bernert’s inspiring story shows that anyone can follow their dreams and live a happy life, with or without full vision.
He was proud to talk about his massage therapy business, called Out of Sight, where he said people can have “an out of sight massage experience.”
About 20.6 million American adults over 18 years old reported vision loss in 2012, according to a survey done by The American Foundation for the Blind.
