Broadway Bridge improvements underway

Road lane and sidewalk closures on both sides of the Broadway Bridge will be necessary over the next couple of weeks as construction crews continue to work on railing improvements.

The improvements will include the construction of a concrete wall to provide vehicular and pedestrian separation and the replacement of the existing bridge sidewalk railing to increase safety.

Broadway Bridge Scheduled Closures:

Week of Oct. 26

The right lane of both the eastbound and westbound roadway will be closed during the day and night for railing and structure painting work beneath the bridge deck.

The sidewalk on the north side of the bridge will be closed for safety railing replacement. Pedestrians and cyclists should use the south sidewalk until the railing is installed.

Week of Nov. 2

The right lane of both the eastbound and westbound roadway will be closed during the day and night for railing and structure painting work benefit the bridge deck.

The sidewalk on the south side of the bridge will be closed for safety railing replacement. Pedestrians and cyclists should use the north sidewalk until the railing is installed.

Week of Nov. 9

The right lane of both the eastbound and westbound roadway will be closed during the day and night for railing and structure painting work beneath the bridge deck.

The sidewalk on the south side of the bridge may be closed for safety railing replacement. Pedestrians and cyclists should use the north sidewalk until the railing is installed.

Please watch for equipment and workers, follow all traffic signs and flaggers, and reduce speeds to posted limits.
