Idaho Falls man threatens wife with ax handle

Idaho Falls Police arrested 49-year-old Gary M. Howard for aggravated assault after he threatened a 31-year-old woman with an ax handle Monday morning.

Howard of Idaho Falls was also booked into the Bonneville County Jail for domestic battery with a child present, possession of Marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

According to reports, officers responded to the 300 block of “H” Street around 10 a.m. for a report of a domestic disturbance. Officers made contact with Howard and the 31-year-old woman. The woman stated she and Howard had been arguing. During the argument he threatened her with an ax handle while holding their child.
