Woman dies after jumping from moving vehicle

On Sunday November 1st, Bingham County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a woman who had jumped our of a vehicle on Blackfoot River Road.

When officers arrived, they located a female laying on the roadway and two people working on her injuries. A Bingham County Deputy started to do chest compressions waiting for the ambulance to arrive. The injured woman, 28-year-old Codi Edwards, was transported to EIRMC and was pronounced dead Monday morning.

The driver of the vehicle, 33-year-old Robert Edwards from Shelley, stated that his wife jumped out of the vehicle while they were driving down the road.

Bingham County Sheriff’s Office deputies are still investigating this incident will provide more information when the investigation is completed.
