Tis the season to give
The 10th Annual Holiday Alternate Giving fair kicked off Saturday and raised more then 12,000 in donations.
It was a two day event and Sunday was the last day for shoppers to go by and pick their non-profit of choice to donate too.
People can donate money in the name of a family member, friend or in the name of a company.
One person who stopped by to donate said it’s important to give back.
“There’s still a lot of need out there. So it’s nice to know that there are communities..organizations that are helping you know families, children, animals and you know veterans. All kinds of people,” said, Pam Lassahn.
Cher Stone, chairwoman of the Community Outreach Center said the event has grown since last year.
“22 agencies last year we have 32 this year,” said Stone.
Sunday is the last day for this event.
