National average for regular gas
The national average price of regular gas is nearing $2 according to CNN.
However, 22 states have passed that benchmark including the state of Idaho.
AAA Fuel Gauge reported the average price in Idaho stands at $2.15.
BYU Idaho student Jonathan Peterson said, he’s noticed gas prices in Rexburg are higher than in other nearby cities.
So he fuels up in Idaho Falls, where gas is cheaper, said Peterson.
“Because gas prices have gone up it’s been a lot harder for me to I mean fuel up. I don’t usually spend $20 to $30 to fill up and now it’s a lot more. Now it’s $35 to $40,” said Peterson.
Surrounding states like Washington are looking at $2.45 for a gallon of regular gas.
Nevada is at $2.51.
