Eastern Idaho teen with cystic fibrosis gets his wish

An eastern Idaho teen got his wish Tuesday after the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Idaho surprised him by paying part of his college tuition.

17-year-old Justin Fullmer was told by the foundation Tuesday evening, that his tuition was going to cost significantly less this semester. Make-A-Wish granted Fullmer’s wish by paying what typically goes towards granting people’s wishes towards his tuition.

The event wasn’t a complete surprise to Fullmer, but he still says it’s a neat experience. “The financial office called me and told me they had received a check from Make-A-Wish. So I kind of knew, but is is still awesome,” said Fullmer.

Fullmer will be playing tennis for Southern Virginia University. This despite having cystic fibrosis, a genetic disease that can make breathing difficult and leads to persistent lung infections.
