Toys for Tots goes over their goal of helping more than 3,000 kids
Toys for Tots can rest assured this year in 5 counties for reaching over their of helping more than 3,000 kids this year.
Several organizations helped donate this season which helped the organization make sure no family was turned away from having something special for their children at Christmas.
The deadline had passed for applications to be turned in from families in need, but Toys For Tots were still more than happy to collect and distribute. Families had applied by sharing how many children were in need, what their gender was, and what they would like for Christmas.
The holiday organization just wrapped up their distribution Saturday at Pine Ridge Mall.
Bannock County Veteran Services Officer Melissa Hartman says since Local News 8’s coverage on their collection a few days ago, they have received even more donations by the community.
“They’ve been coming in and donating here at the mall, it’s been wonderful,” said Hartman.
Toys for Tots are proud of the community’s donations and were happy they never fell short or had to turn families away.
