Woman slides off road onto Snake River

A woman says she hit a curb and slid onto the frozen Snake River Saturday.

It happened around 5:00 p.m. near Rose Road and Archery Range Road.

The Bingham County Sheriff’s office said Courtney Silzly, 26, was driving the suburban.

Officers and tow crews worked to get the vehicle off of the ice Saturday night.

The sheriff said Silzly was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay.

The sheriff said she will be booked on a DUI charge.

They also said they are still investigating the incident.
