Students donate $2,500 to the Behavioral Crisis Center
Students of the Compass Academy are doing their part to help raise awareness about mental illness. Today they donated $2,500 to the Behavioral Health Crisis Center.
Sophomores at the school gave the check to Brenda Price, a coordinator for the crisis center, during an assembly today.
The donations were earned during the school’s “More Than a Stigma” campaign. The students helped raise the money with several fundraisers.
Compass Academy says they will have future sophomore classes host benefits to raise money and awareness for the campaign.
