Special needs kids get to ski
Through the efforts of a lot of people and organizations, special needs kids, who otherwise would not have this opportunity, got a chance to enjoy the ski slopes.
It’s hard to say who was more excited — the kids or their parents, who were thrilled their children had the experience.
“They don’t get to do it like other kids very often and it builds their self esteem and my son tells me he just feels free on the mountain so it’s just great for them,” Tara Baker said.
The Cooperative Wilderness Handicapped Outdoor Group from Idaho State University provided the adaptive ski equipment.
