Group event to benefit two families who lost parents
A family fun event Saturday will be a benefit for two local families. All proceeds will go to the Anderson and Summers children, whose parents were killed in a plane crash near Alpine, Wyoming in March.
Ball Ventures, Klim and Snake River Landing have teamed up as sponsors. They were setting up Friday afternoon for bounce houses, face painting, a giant slide, an obstacle course, live music, a mechanical bull, lots of food with shaved ice, popcorn, and Mrs. Powell’s. Also, The Vogue will be there doing hair braids and hair tattoos. That’s just a few of the things.
The co-founder of The Annie Foundation is heading up this benefit. Eyewitness News anchor Todd Kunz asked her why they are doing it.
“There’s a lot of people in our community that are suffering from things unexpected and you know it’s out of their control to take care of it all. So we like to reach out to those families and lend support or help when they truly need it,” said Heidi Bluemel.
The fun for the entire family is Saturday, June 6 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Snake River Landing.
