Convergys say thank you to veterans
Memorial Day made its final round Saturday at Convergys’ veterans breakfast in Pocatello.
The customer management company held the free breakfast Saturday morning for veterans and anyone else in the community. Just as the pancakes, eggs and sausage got under way, the company held a flag ceremony. They retired their older flag and raised up a new one.
“So it’s a really good experience. And we also have employees sing the national anthem, and the community doing the pledge of allegiance. Just brings that patriotism we really love. Super grateful of the sacrifices our veterans have made,” said Bryan Boyce, Air Force veteran.
“Yeah, I really think it helps them feel appreciated. They do so much to sacrifice for us. I think it’s nice we’re doing something in return for them to help them feel (gasp) that we’re honoring them,” said Amelia Holverson, who’s husband is currently in training for the National Guard.
According to Convergys employees, the Pocatello company is known for it’s great contributions in the community, including distributing hundreds of pounds of canned foods to local food banks. This is yet another year their proud to honor and say thank you to veterans everywhere.
On June 14th, Convergys will be helping out with another flag ceremony in Pocatello, along side the American Legion on Flag Day.
