Historical planes take the sky at the Rexburg Air Show

The Legacy Flight Museum had pilots perform incredible aerobatic demonstrations Saturday during the Rexburg Air Show on Saturday.

“What I like most is the aerospace and the airplane, how they can do tricks. And how so far they’re doing tricks without crashing the airplane,” Civil Air Patrol Cadet Jerimiah Dewit said.

This year’s show displayed historic planes and had people come in from surrounding towns to witness it.

“We are loving the event, I brought my granddaughter. She’s never been here and she loves planes. You having fun?” David Miller said as his granddaughter nodded in response.

The pilots flew aircraft that U.S. military veterans flew as they served our country in past wars.

Civil Air Patrol Cadets were a big help directing traffic at the free event.

“You see different people, you see different airplanes from all over the world. You have veterans and being able to shake their hands and just talk with them, it’s amazing,” said Squadron Cadet Cmdr. Garrett Bray.

“I love aviation and airplanes and flying, so that’s why I enjoy these types of things,” cadet Sam Julander said.

The Rexburg Air Show is an annual event.
