Volunteers clean up graffiti along Idaho Falls greenbelt
Cooper Norman Accounting firm helped Idaho Falls Parks and Recreation cleanup the greenbelt Tuesday.
Volunteers planted flowers and painted two bridges covered in graffiti. They say it’s the least they can do for the community.
“We can do our part in continuing this legacy that’s been built in enjoying this wonderful Snake River that runs through our area one of the most unique parts of living here in Idaho Falls,” said volunteer Blake Johnson.
“We couldn’t be more appreciative of the 60 volunteers that came out today to help make this happen,” Parks and Recreation Director, Greg Weitzel, said. “Usually it will take a park crew anywhere from five to eight hours to clean this up and we got it done in less than hour. They saved us money, they saved us time and we just can’t thank them enough for their volunteering today.”
This is part of Cooper Norman’s “Vision Day.” It’s a yearly ritual for the firm to celebrate and set goals. This year, they decided to add this community service project.
