Routes and trails for you
The Bureau of Land Management is asking for the public’s input on it’s proposed travel management planning process, and the meeting will be held Thursday night.
Bureau of Land Management Public Affairs Officer Sarah Wheeler said the BLM is trying to designate different routes and trails that are managed by the BLM.
“ATV use, hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding, we are looking at the variety of uses on public lands. We are scoping the grounds, looking at satellite imagery but now we are coming to the public and saying you guys are out there recreating we want to see what’s out there,” Wheeler said.
Wheeler said they are trying to make improvements.
The meeting starts at 4 p.m. in Driggs and will go until 7 p.m.
“We have broken into four planning areas, and will focus on Eastern Teton Valley area,” Wheeler said.
The USFO will also be reviewing the area west of Menan as it undertakes travel management planning. An open house for this project will be held on Tuesday in Rigby.
