The Caribou County Sheriff’s office reports the 3 Mile Knoll Road fire was 100 percent contained by about 11 p.m. Monday. Fire fighting crews were on the scene Tuesday to monitor fire lines and douse remaining hot spots.

Original Story:

A brush fire burned the hillside north of the Monsanto plant in Soda Springs Monday.

The fire was reported around 3 p.m. on 3 Mile Knoll Road.

No buildings or homes were damaged in the fire, according to Caribou County Sheriff’s Office dispatch.

They weren’t sure how many acres burned, but it was under control as of 6 p.m.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

There was a fire near the same area Sunday, but dispatchers said Monday’s fire was bigger.
