Man arrested for burglary after woman spots him breaking in

Idaho Falls Police arrested a man for burglary after the woman living in the home witnessed the man breaking in.

Idaho Falls Police arrested 28-year-old Aaron Stewart for burglary Tuesday afternoon. Stewart, of Idaho Falls, was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.

According to reports, officers responded to a burglary in progress at a residence in the 1600 block of South Boulevard around 4:09 p.m. The home owner stated she was driving toward her residence when she saw Stewart knock on her door and then push out a window air conditioning unit and enter into the home.

Police positioned themselves outside the house and apprehended Stewart as he exited the residence. Stewart was found in possession of cash and jewelry from the home.
