UPDATE: Rexburg car chase suspect is also suspect in Idaho Falls guns store burglary
Update 8/19/16 9:40 am: Rexburg Police have detailed the charges Travis Castro will be charged with in Madison County. Castro will now facing a felony eluding charge and felony possession of methamphetamine.
Rexburg Police are continuing their investigation of the case.

In a press release Thursday night Idaho Falls Police say the man involved in a high speed chase that ended in a crash on Main Street in Rexburg is a suspect in the burglary of Guns-N-Gear earlier this week.
IFPD says 30-year-old Travis Castro of Idaho Falls was arrested following the chase for multiple warrants including a felony warrant for grand theft.
He has not been arrested for the Guns-N-Gear burglary at this time as the prosecutor’s office is still working on the charges.
Following the chase in Rexburg, Rexburg Police executed a search warrant on the white pick-up Castro was driving.
During the search detectives identified the truck had been stolen from HK Contractors, Inc. in Idaho Falls and is the same pick-up seen in surveillance video from the gun store.
Detectives also recovered four guns from the truck that were stolen from Guns-N-Gear.
IFPD says the Guns-N-Gear burglary is still an active investigation but do not believe there is anyone else involved.

The Rexburg Police Department have arrested a man who caused a crash on Main Street in Rexburg after leading police on a chase across multiple counties.
Rexburg Police also believe the man may be the suspect wanted for the recent burglary of Guns N Gear in Idaho Falls.
The crash occurred after the suspect was chased across multiple city and county lines. The chase started when St. Anthony Police attempted to pull the man over around 2:28 p.m. Thursday. The man fled from police at high speed towards Rexburg.
Rexburg Police caught up with the suspect at JB’s Restaurant on Main Street in Rexburg and penned the man in. According to police, the man rammed police vehicles several times before he crashed through a wooden shed and continued to flee.
The chase came to a stop after the suspect crashed at Main and Center street outside of the Romance Theater. A total of 6 cars were involved in the crash including police vehicles and the suspects. An ATV at the site of the crash was in the bed of the truck before the crash. One of the vehicles was being driven by a woman with a baby in the vehicle. Both were taken to Madison Memorial Hospital to be treated for injuries. Four to five people were injured in the crash, including the suspect.
When the suspect was pulled from the vehicle, he was dressed in woman’s clothing and a wig. The name of the suspect has not been released at this time. The crash is still under investigation.
