Original story: The Idaho Falls Police Department bomb squad is on their way to dispose of old dynamite found in a Pocatello home today.
Pocatello Police say that at 3 p.m. on Monday people reported finding dynamite in a home on Cottage Avenue in Pocatello. Homes for a two block radius around the home were evacuated for safety. Both Cottage Avenue and Philbin Road are closed while the dynamite is disposed. The closure of the roads is backing traffic up in the area. The dynamite that was found is very old and possibly volatile.
The Idaho Falls Police Department bomb squad was called in to help dispose of the dynamite safely.
