Unextinguished weed fire burns Pocatello garage
An unextinguished weed fire is blamed for a garage fire at 495 Franklin Avenue in Pocatello at around 2:21 a.m. Wednesday.
Firefighters found a large amount of smoke in the area and found the fire in a corner of the garage.
According to reports, the resident of the home was burning weeds near the house. While the man thought they had extinguished the fire, but it re-ignited later when no one was attending to it.
Damage was estimated at $21,000.
