Morenita’s honored for best tacos

A local taco spot has been named the best in the state by BuzzFeed.

Morenita’s in Idaho Falls opened in 1991. It started as a taco truck and has evolved into a restaurant. They’re serving up authentic Mexican dishes that are family recipes.

Bertha Moreno Garcia, the owner, said she still can’t believe Morenita’s landed on that BuzzFeed list.

“People have been telling me, ‘Do you know what that is? Do you know it’s big?’ And I’m like, ‘Well, how big?” she said. “Like I’m just in Idaho Falls.”
